Brainspotting for traumahealing

Do you feel like you’re always switched on?
Easily activated, restless, or unable to fully relax?

Perhaps you have already explored therapy, personal development, or consciousness work, yet notice that insight alone does not always bring lasting change. Experiences that have not been fully processed can remain held in the body and nervous system, subtly shaping how you relate, work, parent, and move through life.

Brainspotting offers access to these deeper layers — beyond words or analysis. Through a specific eye position, the nervous system is gently invited to process what has remained unresolved. This can soften recurring patterns, restore resilience, and create space for greater presence, clarity, and growth.

How does it work?

When something carries emotional charge, it often reveals itself through sensations, tension, or activation in the body. This becomes our entry point. Together, we notice where your eyes naturally settle while staying connected to your inner experience. This point is called a brainspot.

I gently guide your attention while you track what unfolds within, supported by bilateral music. Our therapeutic attunement is an essential part of the process. Many wounds are formed in moments when we felt alone, unseen, or overwhelmed. Within a safe, grounded, and compassionate space, your system can begin to process and release what has been held. As this unfolds, many people notice more calm, emotional freedom, inner spaciousness, and ease in daily life.

Brainspotting is also highly effective online.

Who can benefit?

Brainspotting can support trauma healing, emotional overwhelm, depressive states, burnout, insomnia, relational patterns, anxiety, and stress-related symptoms. Often these experiences reflect a nervous system that has been carrying too much for too long. By supporting regulation and integration, Brainspotting helps restore harmony between body, mind, and deeper self. It can open the way to feeling more embodied, connected, and fully alive.

Annaluz has a warm, loving, and deeply grounded presence. Being with her felt safe and supportive, especially as stored experiences came into awareness and were felt directly in the body.In my case, fear and shame arose at the edge of what I could meet alone. Annaluz’s gentle holding and acceptance helped me stay present and move through it toward resolution.

She radiates calm, compassion, and a kind of motherly love.

Brainspotting is highly suitable for online therapy.

I am quite a thinker, and I was surprised that my mind became calmer during Brainspotting. I felt my heart and, strangely enough, I suddenly felt enveloped by a kind of parental security. A feeling of safety that I could trace back to my parents. A basic sense of security that gave me the feeling: you are allowed to be here, it’s okay, you don’t have to prove anything. What surprised me most was that I always think about my parents in complicated terms, but now I only feel peace. Nico

Where does Brainspotting come from?
Psychotherapist David Grand is the founder of Brainspotting. He developed it from the more well-known EMDR. He then added valuable insights from body-oriented trauma treatment, such as Somatic Experiencing. Brainspotting has been named the most effective treatment method in a number of studies.
